Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining robust cloud security architectures, ensuring security is a fundamental part of our clients cloud solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud platforms, security best practices, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Security Design and Architecture:
Assist in the design and build of secure cloud solutions for our clients.
Ensure security is integrated into the design and development of cloud architectures.
Security Assessment and Best Practices:
Review existing cloud security measures and processes, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Stay updated with leading industry practices and apply them to enhance security.
Tooling and Automation:
Develop and implement security tools, automation scripts, and operational processes for cloud environments.
Administer and integrate cloud security tools like CSPM, CWPP, SSPM, and CNAPP.
Compliance and Governance:
Map security controls to compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) for cloud environments.
Ensure adherence to security standards such as OWASP, ISO 27001/2, and NIST frameworks.
Collaboration and Communication:
Translate technical and compliance requirements into actionable engineering roadmaps.
Communicate complex technical concepts to engineers, leaders, and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their native security and identity management (IAM) capabilities.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python and Java.
- Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with container orchestration systems like Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Familiarity with cloud security tools such as SIEM, SOAR, IPS/IDS, VM, EDR, CSPM, CWPP, and CNAPP.
- Knowledge of security industry standards and best practices (e.g., OWASP, ISO 27001/2, NIST).
- Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CISM) or technical cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in developing and implementing automation and security capabilities on cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks for cloud environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.
